Specs and Compatibilities

The serial number (also known as frame number) can be found in front of or below the bottom bracket. It is printed below the QR code. To find the serial number of the 4060 LT and 4060 ST models open the stash box. On 4060 Z eMTBs, the serial number is located on the rear side of the motor bracket.

The SCOR 2030 is designed for a 185mm eye-to-eye trunnion mount shock with a shock stroke of 47.5mm, resulting in 120mm of rear travel. For those looking for a bit more rear travel, it’s possible to max out the 2030 to 130mm with a 52.5mm stroke shock.

Our bikes and framesets are equipped with shocks featuring a SCOR-specific tune for optimal suspension performance. You can find the shock tune specifications in the SCOR 2030 user manual.

Before buying a shock other than the original specifications, make sure to check clearance. You can find a list of compatible shocks on the SCOR 2030 product page.

The SCOR 4060 is designed for a 205mm eye-to-eye trunnion mount shock with a shock stroke of 65mm for the LT configuration, and 57.5mm for the ST configuration.

The SCOR 4060 Z is designed for a 210mm eye-to-eye shock with a shock stroke of 55mm for the LT configuration, and 47.5mm for the ST configuration.

Absolutely. Paired with an inline shock, the SCOR 2030's suspension blends excellent traction and downhill capabilities with efficient pedaling and lightweight. If you're looking for some additional sensitivity and performance on long downhills, opting for a piggyback shock is a good choice. If you're up for a burlier build and want to push the 2030 even further into Enduro territory, the suspension kinematics of the 2030 offer the right amount of progressivity to also work great with a coil shock.

Absolutely. The SCOR 4060 and the 4060 Z are designed to be able to work equally well with either an air or coil shock, giving you the choice as to how you stay sprung. The frames are designed to accommodate coil shocks from Fox and RockShox, Öhlins will fit as well. Before buying a coil shock from another brand you’ll want to check clearances.

The geometry of the SCOR 2030 is based off a 140mm fork with a 42/44mm offset. We do not recommend using a shorter or longer fork, as doing so would adversely affect the geometry and compromise ride quality.

Our geometry is based off of a 170mm fork with 42/44mm offset for the LT configuration and a 150mm fork with 42/44mm offset for the ST configuration. We wouldn't recommend riding a shorter fork than that, as the BB will be a bit low. Up to 180mm is fine if that's your preference. Riding a longer fork will affect the geometry of your bike (slacken head and seat angle, rise BB) and change the ride feel.

No, the SCOR 4060 and the 4060 Z are designed for single crown forks. The bikes haven't been tested with double crown forks.

If you fancy running a 27.5” wheel instead of a 29” wheel in the rear of your 2030 frame (aka, a mullet setup), you can, but it will affect the geometry.

Swapping to a smaller wheel makes two main changes: it lowers the bottom bracket, and it slackens the seat tube and head tube angles. To partially compensate for those geometric effects, you can adjust the headset to the steeper setting (with the notch facing backward).

If you fancy running a 27.5” wheel instead of a 29” wheel in the rear of your 4060 / 4060 Z frame (aka, a mullet set up) you can. Swapping to a smaller wheel makes two main changes; it lowers the bottom bracket and it slackens the seat tube and head tube angles.

For a bike in ST configuration, these effects can be compensated for by flipping the lower link chip to the LT setting so that the bottom bracket is raised.

For a bike in LT configuration the flip-chip is already in the high position, so if you want to raise the BB adjust the headset to the steeper setting (with the notch facing backward).

Please note that the speed shown on the display of your 4060 Z e-bike is calculated using the circumference of a 29" rear wheel. Riding with a smaller rear wheel will result in displaying a higher speed than the actual speed. Consequently, the effective speed when the motor assistance cuts off will also be lower.

We use our own headset design that uses standardized bearings (upper MR168/MR082; lower MR170) made from high quality stainless steel. They are designed to take a beating, and when wear and tear has taken its toll, replacements are widely available.

The 2030 and 4060 use a PF92 press-fit bottom bracket as we believe that from an engineering point of view press-fit is the best solution for a carbon frame, allowing us to achieve the fibre lay up we want in the bottom bracket area, making for a stiffer, stronger frame.

Now, you might be thinking 'but the internet told me press-fit was bad', but not all press-fit applications are created equally. Our engineers have a lot of experience working with the standard and we have construction tolerances under very tight control, so you don’t need to worry about wobbly cranks or creaking bottom brackets.

Tire clearance is sufficient for tires up to 64mm in width. Tire measures vary on tire make and model as well as rim width. Always check actual tire width with a caliper. In general, most 29x2.5” tires should fit.

All SCOR 2030, 4060 and 4060 Z bikes and framesets come with an upper chainguide. The 4060 is equipped with the two lower ISCG-05 tabs, giving you the option to mount a bashguard.

Set-Up

The 2030’s suspension has been designed to work with the rear shock run at 28-30% sag. Since the frame can accept either 47.5mm (120mm travel - stock configuration) or 52.5mm (130mm travel - shock change required) stroke shocks make sure you adjust your suspension accordingly before heading out for a ride.

Sag values work out as:

  • 120mm travel - 47.5mm shock stroke: 13.3-14.3mm sag
  • 130mm travel - 52.5mm shock stroke: 14.7-15.8mm sag

The 4060’s suspension has been designed to work with the rear shock run at 28-30% sag. Since the frame can accept either 65mm (LT models) or 57.5mm (ST models) stroke shocks make sure you adjust your suspension accordingly before heading out for a ride.

Sag values work out as:

  • LT - 65mm shock stroke: 18.2-19.5mm sag
  • ST - 57.5mm shock stroke: 16.1-17.3mm sag

The 4060 Z’s suspension has been designed to work with the rear shock run at 28-30% sag. Since the frame can accept either 55mm (LT models) or 47.5mm (ST models) stroke shocks make sure you adjust your suspension accordingly before heading out for a ride.

Sag values work out as:

  • LT - 55mm shock stroke: 15.4-16.5mm sag
  • ST - 47.5mm shock stroke: 13.3-14.3mm sag

Want to turn your ST into an LT (140mm to 160mm travel)?
Swap your fork to one with 170mm travel. Swap your shock to one with a longer 65mm stroke. To adjust the geometry, set the angle-adjust headset to the slack position by turning the lower and upper bearing cups by 180° (so that the notch faces forward). Set the flip-chip to the LT position.

Want to turn your LT into an ST (160mm to 140mm travel)?
Swap your fork to one with 150mm travel (you might just have to change the air shaft). Swap your shock to one with a shorter 57.5mm stroke (a suspension tuner may be able to reduce the stroke of your shock for you). To adjust the geometry, set the angle-adjust headset to the steep position by turning the lower and upper bearing cups by 180° (so that the notch faces backward). Set the flip-chip to the ST position.

The two-position headset on the 2030, 4060, and 4060 Z models changes the head tube angle by 1.5°.
Notches to the front = slacker, notches facing backward = steeper.
Please note that changes in the head tube angle also affect other geometry values, such as stack, reach, wheelbase, and seat tube angle.

The flip-chip varies the bottom bracket height. In the ST position, the bottom bracket is 6mm lower than in the LT position.

Running the 4060 ST / 4060 Z ST with the flip-chip in the LT setting will raise the bottom bracket and give greater ground clearance. It will also slightly steepen the angles.

Running the 4060 LT / 4060 Z LT with the flip-chip in the ST position will lower the bottom bracket and result in less ground clearance. It will also slightly slacken the angles.
